-New rhythm minigame with two playable songs, three avatars, adjustable song speed/note scroll speed, and input system.

-New devil deal system! Spoilers on how to unlock/use it: The second level of each area except the mall (2-2, 3-2, 4-2, 4-5, etc) you can find a goat where a boss would normally spawn. Entering the level with a 10x combo or higher will spawn a sign that points you in the direction of this goat. Upon reaching the goat, if you’ve gotten a 25x combo at any point during the run he will give you a choice between 3 deals that make the run harder but also make enemies drop 5 more points on kill. These stack, but each time you go to the goat the combo requirement is another 10 higher.

-New secret boss! Spoilers on how to find it: Trigger the devil deal using the system described above, but instead of walking into a contract, shoot the goat instead. This can also be used to not take a devil deal if you don’t get the one you want, however killing the goat means he can’t spawn again during the run.

-New rare weapon: Entropy Shotgun.
-New challenge: get 3 mutators at the same time.

-Moving enemies will now occasionally spawn post loop.

-Loads of new level and rhythm game music (4 new level songs, 2 new boss tracks, 2 new rhythm game songs)

-Massive gupi buff! Shotgun is improved, snare lasts longer, hp increased from 4 -> 5

-Folie nerf, max hp decreased from 5 -> 4

-Lategame health droprate increased (mostly affects max heat post loop)

-Boost pad overhaul, they temporarily increase move speed instead of flinging you

-Misc bugfixes, some crashes, some enemy projectile desync, etc.

-Booster bruce nerf, projectiles changed from yellow to red but he shoots more of them now

-New boss: Deceased Ra7 – uses a combination of hitscan and slow moving high hp bullet attacks

-New miniboss: Jerry Hernandez – he can move and use hitscan!! voiced by the lead dev also lol

-Hyper bullets powerup buff: bullets now have 6x power instead of 5x and also pierce through enemy corpses instead of stopping when they hit one. This also applies to bosses, meaning regular bullets can hit bosses more than once.

-Cyber ceo overhaul: significantly less RNG based now, tracey brakes mains rejoice!

-Added knifeball: every time you pick up a butterfly knife, there is a 1/40 chance of it turning into a knifeball. Because the butterfly knife has ~1/20 chance of dropping in the first place, that means it has a ~1/800 chance of spawning from a blue crate once youve unlocked the butterfly knife. It is incredibly overpowered, might nerf it next update lol.

-Lots of small bugfixes/tweaks: terf wizard post loop shoots less yellow bombs, superslowmo is less buggy, heat gain during post loop has been capped to be more consistent, probably more im forgetting lol.

Webcage joins the Hyperhell roster!
Armed with a burst pistol and the ability to summon turrets, they make up for their slower speed with overwhelming ammo efficiency and smart use of multi-directional attacks.
You can unlock them by completing 5 challenges (if already done, just start a run normally and you’ll unlock on spawn) or with cheats by pressing 1 and 9 on the main menu to unlock everything

5HP, 3SPD
= ability: turrets – duplicate current gun and set it on small turret which despawns after 10s or when it runs out of ammo
+ start with burst pistol
– slower than most

-New powerup: HYPER BULLETS, increases speed of all projectiles and multiplies their strength by 5. Lasts 16 seconds (longer than any other powerup!)

-Reordered some challenges and added the new one to ‘defeat 2 minibosses in the same stage’

-Tweaked post loop bosses to be less RNG based (land lord of the flies got a MASSIVE nerf post loop, terf wizard a normal nerf, and ceo borg a slight nerf. Thatcher is mostly unchanged)

-Keyboard rebinding added

-Cursor resizing added

-Fixed a really nasty bug where evil grungo + booster bruce would sometimes randomly crash the game, should hopefully be no more random crashes anymore

-Fixed a bunch of misc bugs (melee deleting itself on edge of map, FULL AUTO powerup being buggy, barrels being buggy and stopping slides, and more that I’m probably forgetting)

-New weapon tag system: each weapon now has a chance to spawn as a ‘variant’ version. Current tags include:

• Overclocked – fires much faster, lower accuracy
• Heavy – fires way more bullets, but lower fire rate
• Cold – slower bullet speed, but more bullets/fire rate
• Legendary – slight increase to all stats

-New encounter: blacksmith
He will apply a variant tag to your current weapon or reroll it if you already have one.

-Mimic encounter rebalance
Mimic chance changed from 10 -> 6 -> 4 -> 2 to 6 -> 3 -> 2
real chests now drop a guaranteed variant gun

-New weapon: charging laser

-Vertical enemy rebalance: the enemies that shoot horizontal/vertical lines were kind of redundant so I combined the two into one enemy which change the direction of the lines based on your position

-8 brand new enemies (they don’t show up until the office/mansion so you might not see them in your first run)

-Particle effects overhaul: gunfights are much messier now.

-Slight folie uzi nerf, slight dj re:code deagle buff

-Cloud saves! I haven’t tested these at all so if they don’t work hit me up on twitter and I’ll patch it lol

-Bugfixes + QOL stuff I forgot to write down anywhere

= ability: grappling hook – hold rmb to pull yourself towards walls or to pull enemies towards you
+ start with giant scythe, scythe is slow but instantly recharges swing when you kill an enemy with it

-Added new FPS minigame in satan’s megamansion, with a cameo from Lillith Walker/Bunlith, the lead developer of Bloodborne PSX/Bloodborne Kart! She was super fun to work with, shoutout to her, go play her games they’re also free >:)

-Two new starter weapons, DJ Re:Code now starts with a deagle and Folie now starts with an Uzi

-Some slight boss nerfs, mostly notably made reagan periodically lower his speed to rest which should make him easier to hit

-Multiple possible boss arena spawns per stage, should hopefully lead to more varied boss fights

-Two new minibosses, Booster Bruce and Fallen Angel

-Various QOL, such as:
Grungo buff (base heat lowered to 0)
Way more spawn points,
Abyss arena is a bit bigger,
Takes longer to pick up common guns while holding a rare gun,

-Frax and Gupi will now do the caramelldansen after being idle for 2.5s

-Added new ‘encounter’ system where interactable npcs spawn occasionally throughout the map. These include:

1) the shop – spend score to get rare item! you can try to kill the shopkeeper for free swag but it’ll shut you out of every shop for the rest of the run. Also the shopkeeper has a rocket launcher.

2) chests – every time you open a chest, the odds of the next one being a mimic increases!

3) slots – sacrifice 1HP for a chance to win a rare item. Beware that once you start gambling the slot machine will close after a couple seconds, so trying to go out and get more health to gamble with is risky!

4) blood altar – summon up to 2 minibosses which drop loads of blood on death. you basically get to skip half the level, but taking on two bosses at once can be really tough!

-Added a guaranteed shop spawn right before the reagan fight, so you can enter the fight with a rare gun at the cost of like, half your score >:)

-Added 6 new minibosses which have a very low chance (literally like 1/1000) of spawning in place of regular enemies. These include: (spoilers)
murder meatball, evil grungo, lesser landlord, mimic, shopkeeper, and super murder meatball.
The chance goes up significantly if you get to 4-10 though

-made it so on loop 3 and beyond, coffins now spawn additional minibosses

-Buffed gatling shotgun ammo, buffed davy crockett ROF, slightly nerfed cube gun ROF

+added “Get a hyper combo (50x combo or higher)” as a new lategame challenge

+made it so on entering a new level with a combo, you have an additional 2.5 second grace period before your combo meter starts depleting. This is removed early if you kill an enemy before the grace period is over.

+Dealing damage to a boss resets the combo timer

+Boss deaths also reset the combo meter, and add to your combo

-Made the butterfly knife an unlockable weapon instead of being available by default. It is now the first reward you receive for completing any challenge.

-Added three new challenges: finish mall 5 times, finish 30 levels across all runs, and kill 2000 enemies across all runs.

-Tweaked some visuals hue/saturation to hopefully make it more clear what’s a wall vs floor

-Redid visuals on character select menu to be less eyestrain-ey

-Slightly lowered Reagan’s health (85 -> 75)

-Changed overall sound volume to be a little bit quieter
