There will be more data and proper atribution here (original author, steam link, original post date, etc) real soon, I promise. This is just like a technical test to see if they're coming in ok at all.
Run Build Pew! » Where have we been & Where to?
Hello everyone,
I know it has been a long time since our last update, and well… a lot has happened, so I would like to share what has been happening behind the scenes and where the studio is heading.
We’re a two developers team that has been working together for the better part of the last 5 years in the gaming industry, In early 2022 we decided to start making our own games because our careers have stopped improving working for others, so we wanted to test our skills.
On 6 Jun 2022, we launched Run Build Pew! as a quick small game to learn more about working with Steam, and for the most part, It was a success. We knew it was the start of our indie dev careers, but things didn’t go as smoothly as we had hoped.
Because we intended for Run Build Pew! to be just a learning experience, We weren’t incorporated at the time of launching, unfortunately, that has got us into a lot of trouble with our bank, hence why we stopped updating Run Build Pew! as any new sales wouldn’t have reached us.
We also were nearly 3 hours away from each other, we didn’t mind working remotely for the most part but, we knew we need to move in order to shift into high gear as that would save us a lot of time and trouble with daily online communications.
After nearly half a year of work, we finally were able to move past most of our troubles, we moved in together saving us a lot of time, and we also were able to get most of the money we made from Run Build Pew! and that money made it possible to incorporate our studio as Knight Owl, yes, we were Tired Owl but at some point, we realized that “Tired” may not be the best branding out there.
So more Run Build Pew! updates right? unfortunately no, after a lot of consideration, we believe the game is complete, it has over 31 upgradable abilities, 6 game modes, leaderboards for each mode, and a fair RNG to ensure decent replayability each time, we believe that is a fair amount of content for a 3$ game, thus we have to focus our studio effort on our new title to keep it afloat.
Station Watch is our studio’s second game, the free demo is already up in case you would like to try it.

Finally, we’re sorry for not keeping you updated over the past half a year but, at some points we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to continue our journey ourselves, so we thought it would be best to not promise anything, As we’re settling down we hope to improve more on that.
We hope you all have a great day, and we’re looking forward to our next adventures.
