Patch notes are imported from steam. There may be errors. This mostly exists so I can stay on top of them to update the features in our tags and scoring categories (which I do manually), but since many of you liked the idea of staying up to date with all the games in one place I'm working on making this data automated (right now I manually hit it every couple days) with better info and linking in with the game views.

There will be more data and proper atribution here (original author, steam link, original post date, etc) real soon, I promise. This is just like a technical test to see if they're coming in ok at all.

Time Wasters » Early Access Build #1000

New Vermillion Loyalty Challenge: Tower Defense
  • Earn a Solo Victory with Vermillion to unlock the Tower Defense Challenge
  • Location: Green Hills
  • Stop The Enemies From Getting To The Tower
  • Enemy Tower Damage 1
  • Elite Tower Damage 100
  • Enemy Hull Multiplier 2
  • Gold Per Pickup -0.85
  • New 3D background
  • New music track
  • Added new Tower Health stat to the End of Run Summary
  • New Loyalty icon will replace Solo after earning a Tower Defense Victory
  • To play, select Vermillion as the Captain then select Tower Defense from the Select A Challenge screen
  • Added Unlock Missions & Steam Achievement
  • More Loyalty Challenges may be added in future updates

Loyal Crew Vermillion

  • Get a Tower Defense Challenge Victory with Vermillion to unlock
  • Loyal Crew Vermillion can immediately join the crew at the start of a run
  • Vermillion must not be Banished to join your crew

Gamepad Support

  • Added Native controller support for both Playstation & Nintendo Switch (XBox already had native support)
  • Generic controllers will continue to use Steam Input
  • Playstation & Switch gamepads show correct button hints in-game
  • Restart Steam to get latest Controller settings

Boxing Gloves

  • Boxing Gloves will now knock enemies off the set path causing them to target the highest priority (City Invaders & Tower Defense Challenges)
  • Now targets the closest enemy

Fire Balls

  • Now targets the furthest enemy in range. This change takes full advantage of Fire Balls range, damaging all enemies between the player and the target (similar to Punch Through)


  • Champion, Endless & Slime Planets backgrounds resolution increased from 1K to 4K

Performance Optimizations

  • Optimized physics performance on multiple weapons & enemies


  • Damage Numbers turned off by default
  • All text changed to white

Early Access Build #1004

  • Fix – Damage Over Time physics accuracy and performance (Slime Trail, Static Field, etc)

Early Access Build #1005

  • Fix – Some weapons & enemies not doing/taking damage
  • Reminder – Slime Trail only slows enemies when the are in the slime trail, however they continue to take damage over time while green
