Hey Look! A dev update!
I recently finished work on 4 new runes!
Projectile on Hit, Projectile on Conclude, Nova on Hit, and Nova on Conclude
On Hit runes cause you to cast that spell on an enemy when you hit, and on conclude causes you to cast that spell whenever the casting spell “concludes”
After slotting these runes in, any future runes will apply to the triggered spell instead! This gives room for some pretty crazy interactions
Shown here is Projectile on Conclude alone, then a Volley Projectiles that all have projectile on conclude, then a single projectile that has a projectile on conclude supported by a Ring of Spells, and then all of them combined! As well as a Fire Dash supported by Projectile on Conclude, then Nova on Conclude, then Ring of Spells!
Along with this update is some balance and scaling updates. Enemies now scale in power with every
room! Along with that, enemeis are sorted into categories (ranged, thicc boys, filler slimes) that have a limites on how many of them can spawn in a room, no more rooms filled with 80% mortar slimes!
I have some other new runes in the works, and hopefully some new monsters and bosses after that. Once that’s wrapped up I’ll likely push all of this to the demo branch 👍 thanks for reading!
