Patch notes are imported from steam. There may be errors. This mostly exists so I can stay on top of them to update the features in our tags and scoring categories (which I do manually), but since many of you liked the idea of staying up to date with all the games in one place I'm working on making this data automated (right now I manually hit it every couple days) with better info and linking in with the game views.

There will be more data and proper atribution here (original author, steam link, original post date, etc) real soon, I promise. This is just like a technical test to see if they're coming in ok at all.

Greetings, Sorcerers!

Last week, we launched the game, and there have already been some minor patches, addressing bugs and making some balance tweaks. Now, just before Christmas, we bring you the first patch with new content! We hope you’re enjoying Sorcevival and continue to do so. The theme of this patch revolves around the Dash.

New Content

  • New Game Mode, Challenge Mode: This is a more challenging game mode where each run grants random Elemental Resistances to enemies, along with better rewards! Feel free to let us know what you think of this game mode!
  • Statistics View: Now, when pausing the game during a session, you can view your character’s statistics. In upcoming patches, we’ll be adding more information.
  • Added death animation
  • Added a new item
  • Added a new Rune
  • Added a new Passive
  • Added a new Spell
  • Added a new Active Spell
  • Added a new Relic
  • Added 6 new quests

Balance

  • Active Spell, Disintegrate: Armor Penetration increased from 0% to 100%. It should now truly disintegrate enemies.
  • Earth Rune: The number of fragments it creates has been slightly reduced.
  • Arcane Projectile, Fatal Finesse (Homing): Attack speed reduced from 40% to 20%.
  • Arcane Orbit, Enhanced First Row: Atk. Spd. 35% to 40% / Atk. Spd, 20% to 25% / Dmg 3 to 4.
  • Arcane Orbit, Enhanced Fourth Row: Penetration from 1 to 2 and Dmg from 4 to 5 / Penetration from 0 to 1 and Dmg from 5 to 7.
  • Boss, Undead Sorcerer: Movement speed increased from 1 to 1.5.
  • Boss, Beast of Doom: Changed summoned skeletons in phase 1 to the fungus version.

Misc and BugFixes

  • Now, Augments cannot be purchased until the “Relics” Augment has been bought. This ensures that the first Boss Soul will unlock this previously unseen part of the gameplay.
  • Changed the icon for Break Runes and Active Spells to the red Experience icon for better understanding.
  • Runes and Active Spells can no longer spawn outside the level, preventing them from being unreachable.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when using a Gamepad and going to apply a rune when there were no spells available. (Now truly fixed)
  • Fixed a bug where dying to a Boss’s area could cause the area to reappear in a fresh run.
  • Fixed a UI bug in the Augments window when using a Gamepad.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed exiting the game by clicking on the end game window.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed performing a “Super” Dash.
  • Fixed some typos.
  • Fixed a bug that caused props to keep spawning after finishing the game.
  • Fixed a bug that made movement speed upgrades only work after performing a Dash.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the current Critical Damage to display incorrectly on the level-up screen.
