Patch notes are imported from steam. There may be errors. This mostly exists so I can stay on top of them to update the features in our tags and scoring categories (which I do manually), but since many of you liked the idea of staying up to date with all the games in one place I'm working on making this data automated (right now I manually hit it every couple days) with better info and linking in with the game views.

There will be more data and proper atribution here (original author, steam link, original post date, etc) real soon, I promise. This is just like a technical test to see if they're coming in ok at all.

This update brings some fixes and feedback changes, as well as a christmas adventure for the holidays!

Game Elements

Events
(NEW)Christmas Event

The christmas event has just arrived! From the 22nd to the 28th of Decemeber, you will be able to play the special game mode in the Frozen Land! This mode will have you saving good children from naughty, demon children sent by Judgement! After rescueing each child, you’ll take on Santa’s job by awarding them a present!

Objective:
Save the children from the demons and gift them presents.

Reward:
Christmas Event Recipes and ingredients.

Accessability:
You can access the Frozen Land via the orange, santa-hatted teleporter. The teleporter will appear in the ice level. It will not spawn in a boss room.

Duration:
The event lasts from the 22nd of december to the 28th of december.

Pets

(NEW)(PET) Snowy

Pet Description:

  • Has 4% of owner’s mixed damage.
  • Slows target enemy by 40%

Pet Class: Legendary

(NEW)(PET) Gingerbread Bud

Pet Description:

  • Has 5% of owner’s mixed damage.
  • Grants owner +5% of experience earned.

Pet Class: Legendary

Items

(NEW)Golden Star

Item Effect: Grants +25% experience gained and +50% ingredient amount obtained.
Item Class: Legendary Equipable

(NEW)Mistletoe

Item Effect: When hitting an enemy near another enemy, gives 5% chance to stun both for 1.5 seconds.
Item Class: Rare Equipable

(NEW)Mystery Present Box

Item Effect: Drops a random rare item when picked up.
Item Class: Rare Equipable

(NEW)Hot Choco

Item Effect: When activated, gives increased movement speed and attack speed for 5 seconds. (Thanks, SantaDoge! ːsteamhappyː)

Bug Fixes & Feedback Changes

Important Notice – Linux Users

We’ve changed a configuration on Steam that should enable users to use Steam functionalities. Please let us know if achievements and cloud saving are working!

Details of this section:
This section contains the bug fixes that were applied in issues detected in the previous versions.

  • Fixed a bug where Rockstone Mountain was loopable.
  • Fixed a bug where the entire Judgement floor would be filled with gold.
  • Fixed the bug reported by Banana Crayons
  • Fixed a rare bug where the game could crash when changing difficulties.
  • Fixed a bug where the game would start in a full, blackscreen if not using compatibility mode. Note: from our testings, the issue seems fixed. If you experienced this in the past, please let us know if you still experience it or not.
  • Fixed a bug where gold coins would not be displayed during local co-op.
  • Fixed a bug where the second player could not allocate stat points during local co-op. Thanks to Steam user Anakya for reporting this and many more issues related with local co-op!
  • (Suggestion Implementation)Changed bloodletting sword to deplete 9 hp every second (from 3 hp). Thanks to Steam user fewRy for the feedback!
  • (Suggestion Implementation)Changed traps so they now deal a percentage of health as damage, instead of flat damage, with minimum damage cap. The higher the difficulty, the higher the percentage of health taken.
  • Normalized trap damage amount and types (i.e.: boulders no longer deal magic damage, instead deal physical damage, etc.).

Known Issues

  • In some systems (both operative system and hardware components), the game has severe lags spikes for brief periods of time. This usually has to do with malfunctioning input devices, but a fix is being developed. If this occurs to you, please send an email to laminastudios@gmail.com with the operative system you have and hardware, as well as any relevant information (the time you were playing at and what were you doing).
  • Currently, to some players, Steam functionalities are not working under Linux systems, as well as a few in-game functionalities (such as minimap). We are working into resolving this issue.
  • During co-op, heroes have a different currency than the one specified on the HUD, resulting in some characters being able to buy certain items that the other player can’t (due to gold spent). This will be fixed in a future patch.
