– Quick tweak to explainer pages which simply hides the sidebar when you’re on a small window (horizontally speaking). The sidebar just contains the menu (same as the pop out menu) and some notes about the scale also mentioned elsewhere, so it’s kind of fine to just hide it at the moment. Some funcitonality might be moved below the post content later, or have a different thing available on small screens.
– Fixed funparade highscore table submit code! you can now submit your high scores, but don’t remember to read the name of each game and check them out after enjoying the art!! Support the artists and devs!
– Disabled caching on leaderboard page
– Fixed patch feed ‘category’ archives to go to the updates feed with the correct category highlighted. this concerns the patch note feed categories (seeing all the updates we’ve imported for whichever game)
– Manually ran the patch feed import from the backend (will be a few weeks before I get the time to finish the automation unless someone is a good cron job troubleshooter)
– Manually ran a function to delete some duplicate imported patch notes (known issue, manually handling it for now)
– Made notes for a bunch of games to add/update, still need to get to pending dev surveys. A little distracted by my partner and I’s upcoming move but I’ll get on them soon promise!

!!!! Fuck It We’ll do it live!
Decided I’m going to get this fucker out to start getting feedback, so focusing on some quick fixes. Was going a little stir crazy trying to handle it on my own, honestly. But I’m not gonna alert everyone or promo it yet, really.
– Revised loading text
– Linked a demo search query and taxonmy page in the loader to encourage people to try to load less full datasets for their first exploration.
– Loading area styling
– Implemented a minimize for the loader, so you can browse less obstructed
– Made it so the menu and search can be accessed before the page finishes loading
– Now that the table loading is a little more bearable, changed the header link back to the table from the menu open.
– Debugged some leaderboard shit, I think messed up when I started with ajax again for the expandables
– Created single page view for patch notes
– Created breadcrumbs and header area for single patch note
– Temporary patch feed redirect to update history page (which has a summary of them on it for each day)
– Added Our Tribe Above All to upcoming without demo
– Working on feed scheduling for the patch notes. Separated scanning from saving preferences and made a new button to scan for feed links
– Clear previous log file if it’s older than a week, Implement times_of_day, Implement start_time. Make a time selection dropown that lets you select to minute (so I can test it really), Implement scheduling_enabled, first import data from video game posts to feed table, then import feeds, figured out why logging is overwriting the start and fixed it
– Show currently schedule cron jobs in our scheduling settings. Shows, but still having trouble getting it to fire. will have to troubleshoot it later, the manual import works so I’ll just stay on top of that for now.
– Optimized patch note feed import by skipping all posts if the most recent one is already in. We might miss edited corrections or something, but it’s worth it to speed up the import like literally x10 in some feeds.
– Added “Taxonomy”, “Enemy Trap / Enemy Trap Event” to the list of terms (and gameplay tags) after The Games Detective noted enemy “traps” during a feed of Death Must Die.
– Styling and copy updates on spreadsheet header, mentioning/highlighting new website url
– We’re all in this together now !! Enjoy an active development hobby project!! please h lep
– Revised homepage to just be the ranking section until we figure out virtualization or whatever

– Working hard on aggregated patch notes RSS feed
– Set a wider array of games to enabled for the aggregated feed
– Added Crab Champions, Devil Slayer – Rakasi, Ginga Force, Natsuki Chronicles
– Added Holiday Event tags to Westale: Peelgrimage, Devil Slayer – Rakasi
– RSS import now working! It scanns all the videogames in the database, pulls out their feed links (generated from the steam ID, with that actually being done in the spreadsheet in case people want it), then downloads the latest posts from each game’s update feed. It looks like they’re correctly coming in with the styled content, permalink, author, original post date, and featured image all working. Then I tag it with the videogame ID and name from the database (as a category so we can see all the updates for a game easily). This is gonna save me so much time checking different feeds for updates! And other people can sub to this overall feed too.
– Patch notes import progress. Checked off: Confirm Author Import, Confirm thumbnail image. Clean up cache at end of import, Implement number_of_posts_to_import, Table- Consistent sorting (The topmost item in the table is the next item that will be imported. The bottommost in the table should be the post imported most recently)
, Import All button, Import: Update Last Post date properly in the table, Stop Import Button
– Implemented front end views, started with feed updates on updates archive page. Checked: Add feed updates to updates archive, Modify loop to display both updates and patch feed post types, Create a wrapper for the posts from each day, and add a header inside the wrapper that says  “mm/dd/yyyy Imported patch notes”. If update display as normal, Change header to have date in 12/31/2023 format. If patch feed note, display just Category >> Title, Add pagination for updates
