Patch notes are imported from steam. There may be errors. This mostly exists so I can stay on top of them to update the features in our tags and scoring categories (which I do manually), but since many of you liked the idea of staying up to date with all the games in one place I'm working on making this data automated (right now I manually hit it every couple days) with better info and linking in with the game views.

There will be more data and proper atribution here (original author, steam link, original post date, etc) real soon, I promise. This is just like a technical test to see if they're coming in ok at all.

Pathfinder: Gallowspire Survivors » Patch Notes: 1.0.2681

New:
The Companion system has been revamped!

  • Companions can now learn up to 4 Attacks and 6 Passives Skills
  • Companion Nodes can be found throughout each floor of Gallowspire to learn new abilities or level up the companion’s current abilities. Seek them out and upgrade your fellow Companion to aid you in your quest.

– Companion Skills & Passives can also be upgraded by finding Chests throughout your adventures in the depths.

  • Opening chests and rolling the die will now grant both Players and Companions the amount of rewards earned from the roll.
  • If the Player rolls a 20, both the Playable Character and their Companion will get 5 rewards! This includes learned abilities, spells, passives and gold.
  • A new screen was created to showcase both Player and Companion loot that is being rolled for during a Chest sequence. This screen is not visible in Hyper Mode.
  • Companion Damage, Abilities, and Monsters killed can be seen in the Victory/Defeated/Retreated screen at the end of an Adventure.

– Chapter Bosses now drop Cards (when applicable) upon being defeated

  • When a player first defeats a boss to unlock a new chapter, a total of 5 random cards will be awarded
  • Subsequent adventures that defeat bosses that were already braved once will drop between 1 to 5 random cards
  • This change should help greatly those that are actively chasing down the collectables that are currently available without entirely relying on chasing down Tyrant’s Folly found throughout all floors of Gallowspire
  • Bosses do not drop cards if the Player exceeds the maximum of copies on the chosen difficulty
Reminder of the Card Collection caps by Difficulty:
    • Adventurer: 2
    • Veteran: 4
    • Heroic: 6
    • Legendary: 8
    • Mythic: 15 (down from 25 – see change notes below)

Each card can be dropped up to the cap of the difficulty chosen for the current adventurer.
    – Rarity values have been increased across the board

    • All Rarities have had their percentages per level up increased
    • This should reduce the amount of level ups and/or chests needed to get full power
    • This change was made in order to decrease the amount of downtime currently created by level ups, Tyrant’s Folly, Chests Openings and the new Companion Node system.

    Balance Changes:
    –- Upgrade Values —

    • Increased the value of Common Upgrades from 5% to 6.7%
    • Increased the value of Uncommon Upgrades from 5.88% to 7.7%
    • Increased the value of Rare Upgrades from 7.14% to 10%
    • Increased the value of Epic Upgrades from 10% to 14.3%
    • Increased the value of Legendary Upgrades from 16.66% to 20%

    – Orb Level Multiplier –

    • Increased the value from 2.5 to 4

    – Chests –
    – Decreased number of chest per floor from 8 to 6

    • Chests found on each floor have slightly been reduced to keep the balance between the Power gained with the rarity changes versus the abundance of chests present on each floor.

    – Decreased Drop Chance from Elites from 33% to 25%

    • Drop rate of Elites was slightly reduced in order for the rarity increase not overtake the current difficulty curve of each Chapters and Floor, the amount of chance that Elites can drop chests was slightly reduced.
    • We will keep a keen eye on the feedback and the outcome of these changes. After some internal testing, these were deemed to be at an acceptable level considering the rarity changes.

    – Localization –

    • Renamed Bastard Sword to Longsword

    — Difficulties —
As a result of the Companion gaining additional damage and overall power, enemy Health Points were adjusted to compensate for the increase in Player power.

    – Adventurer –

    • Increased Enemy Base Health by 50%

    – Veteran –

    • Increased Enemy Base Health by 50%

    – Heroic –

    • Increased Enemy Base Health by 50%

    – Legendary –

    • Increased Enemy Base Health by 50%

    – Mythic –

    • Increased Enemy Base Health by 50%

    — Enemy Progression —
    — Increased Damage Per Floor Percent Increase from 15% to 20%
    — Increased Armor Per Floor Percent Increase from 0% to 20%
    — Increased Armor Per Minute Percent Increase from 0% to 5%
    — Increased Health Per Minute Percent Increase from 70% to 75%

Enemies were made slightly tougher now that the Companion comes with a full arsenal. This balance change is being looked at closely and will be tweaked further as needed.

    – Elite Tough –

    • Increased Armor Bonus from 0 to 20

Some Elite Monsters can spawn with the “Tough” trait which increases their overall health and size. Additional armor was added to them to raise their toughness a little bit. Additional damage can be dealt to them by using skills/talents that reduce enemy armor.

    — Potions —
    – Energy Breath Potion –

    • Increased Damage of Rank 0 from 4 to 6
    • Increased Damage of Rank 1 from 5 to 8
    • Increased Damage of Rank 2 from 6 to 10
    • Increased Damage of Rank 3 from 7 to 12
    • Increased Damage of Rank 4 from 8 to 14
    • Increased Damage of Rank 5 from 9 to 16
    • Increased Damage of Rank 6 from 10 to 18
    • Increased Damage of Rank 7 from 11 to 20
    • Increased Damage of Rank 8 from 12 to 22
    • Increased Damage of Rank 9 from 13 to 24
    • Increased Damage of Rank 10 from 14 to 26

    — Collections —

    • Decreased the number of total card copies from 25 to 15

This change was made so that the grind towards reaching a full collection but also the full power that was granted by a full collection is made in a much more digestible timeframe. Values across all Collections were increased as a result; so collecting a card should feel more impactful than it did before while also having less cards in total to obtain a fully powered Collection.

    Bug fixes

Some of the issues listed below were present in the version that was made available for those that participated in the Playtest of the Companion Revamp in our Discord Server. They will all be marked as (Beta Build Fix) in the list below.

    • Fixed an issue that would lead to an invalid Discord link in the Main Menu.
    • Fixed an issue where sometimes weapon level ups would still appear one more time when the current level was labeled as 100%.
    • Fixed an issue with the description for the Energy Breath potion.
    • Fixed an issue where the Teleportation timer would sometimes remain stuck at 0:30 which created a soft-lock as the Player would not be able to go to the next Floor or retreat from the Adventure.
    • Fixed an issue where abilities and spells would stop triggering after toggling Manual Aiming under specific conditions.
    • (Beta Build Fix) Fixed an issue where Fireball would show up as 0 Damage when used on the Companion.
    • (Beta Build Fix) Fixed an issue where the Cooldown icon for Player and Companion would only show up once under specific conditions.
    • (Beta Build Fix) Fixed an issue where Mini Bosses defeated appear multiple times in the Result screen under specific conditions.

    Known Issues

    • An infinite loading screen can be found under specific conditions when using the CLEAR DATA option and wiping the Player’s saved progress followed by starting a NEW GAME. If encountered, reboot the title to resume normal gameplay.
    • A few text strings present in the new Companion screens are currently unlocalized and only display in English.
    • Companion Passives may sometimes display in the Main Character Level Up screen if leveling up immediately after Companion levels up. This issue will be resolved in the next update and does not affect gameplay.
