It has been an eventful year and I am more than happy to announce that The Last Veggies is on sale again for Steams Winter Sale. With the recent Update I have already added the final content to the game so it is now playable with all events, enemies, maps and gamemodes. The next and last Update for the game will follow next year.
For those of you who haven’t bought the game yet and for those who are interested in some gameplay there will be some Live Gameplay during the Sale from time to time on the Steam Store Page. You can watch the community play and comment the game so go and check it out!

This update The Last Veggies – Winter Sale first appeared on Survivors-likes List.

– Fixed an issue where the truck signs did not match the veggies (“The Way Out”)
– Fixed an issue where the icons for the trucks in The Way Out would not disappear.
– Fixed an issue where one of the trucks was not dropping seeds (“The Way Out”)

– Since the update, some players are experiencing performance issues after playing more than one round (stuttering and more).

The Update comes one day early this time! I have been busy the last few weeks and I have added the final achievements and the last map of the game! So now we have a total of 9 maps in 3 different gamemodes and lots of veggies within them! Furthermore there are 50 achievements for you to discover and unlock. The wole summary is down below. This Update marks almost the end of the Early Access. I have added all of the content the 1.0 Version should have but as testing came a bit short again this week the game will stick around in Early Access until the next Update (2024). Let me know what you think of the Update and also do not stop to report bugs or issues during your gameplay.

– added a new Map “The Way Out” for Gamemode 3
– added a new feature “buyable turrets” to the maps “The Way Out” and “The Last Stand”

Achievements:
– added the Achievement “To Space!”
– added the Achievement “Guns!”
– added the Achievement “All the Veggies!”

Characters:
– reduced the force of the backfire for “Heavy” and “Raid” by 50%

Events:
– reduced the AOE of the permanent slime puddles

Rubberballs:
– reduced the amount of rubberballs to 1 per shot even with shotguns but increased the damage per ball by 25%
– affected Characters are Carl, Carl Senior and Timothy

Enemies:
– changed spawnpoints and camera settings for Gamemode 3 to implement Bosses to this Gamemode in the next Update

– fixed an issue where sometimes an unlocked map was shown as locked
– fixed and scoring issue in Map7 and Map8
– fixed an issue with the damage of permanent slime puddles
– fixed an Issue where “The M.O.A.M.” only had 2 different attacks instead of five

In the last weeks I have been working on the second map of Gamemode 3 which comes now with this Update. It will bring a new mechanic and a new way to obtain seeds! So go and check it out! There is also a new evil boss lurking around in Gamemode 1. The “M.O.A.M” will bring a new challenge to tha game. Furthermore I have made some improvements to the balancing of the Game, I fixed some bugs and issues and tested all the new stuff as much as possible. Still if you encounter any issues with the game let me know. The full changes can be found below. The next Update will be online before Christmas so stay tuned!

Map:
– added a new Map “Area-Veggie-One” to Gamemode 3
– brings a new way to obtain seeds and a different layout

Boss:
– added “The M.O.A.M”
– a new challenging Boss that may appear in Gamemode 1
– this boss can have different damage types (slime, normal, fire)
– this boss can spawn ALL kinds of monsters

Achievements:
– added a new Achievement “From Above”
– added a new Achievement “The Brain”

Audio:
– added a “2.5d Soundfeel” so that sounds are more if they are further away
– added new Audio for Character “Raid”

Scoring:
– changed the scoring of Gamemode 2 and 3
– you can now score by killing monsters and completing the objective instead of just the objective
– a score will only be validated if the mission was a success

Golden Carrots:
– increased the golden carrot EXP Points in Gamemode 2 and 3 by 20%

Bosses:
– changed the wave for Bosses from 4-8 to 4-7
– increased the force with which the Blaster Master throws its grenade

– fixed a scoring issue with Map 7 “The Seed Vault”
– fixed an issue where the Achievement “Seed Saver” stayed locked even after completion
– fixed an issue where “Tiny Rex” Boss was able to spawn unlimited enemies
– fixed an issue where the “Corrupted Tree” Enemy was not being removed after death
– fixed an issue with the VPD Special pushing enemies out of the map
– fixed some sound issues with “Raid”

I hope you are all doing well. The game is coming closer and closer to the final 1.0 Version. We are still not fully there but close. In the last two weeks I have been able to finish the last of the characters for the full version. Don’t worry there will be more of them in the future but that is is for now. So this Update brings 3 more characters with unique features. Furthermore I have been fixing some new bugs that came wtih the last update and improved the gamefeel a little more by adding other audio effects and some balancing.New Events will also spice up your gameexperience. Testing has come a little short in the last few updates so I spend a little more time on it for this one. I hope everything works properly and you can enjoy the game without any trouble. In the next two weeks I will work on one of the last two maps for gamemode 3. So stay tuned for more!

Carl Senior:
– same as his son he is a true farmer and comes with special skills for the job

Raid:
– a cyber soldier from the future with new specials that will change the tide in the battle against the monsters

Random:
– an AI that needs to be unlocked by proving your worth
– combines all character specials in one character
– “tip” unlock the 20 wave achievement to unlock this character

– characters now have a silent footstep sound for a better feel

Alien Fauna:
– permanent slime puddles make it harder for you to navigate the maps
– grants you 10% more golden carrot xp

Anger:
– angry monsters deal 10% more damage
– grants you 10% more golden carrot xp

– fixed an issue with the game reset button (all characeters, maps and level should now reset)
– fixed an issue with the character description texts that wer not fully shown on the screen
– fixed an issue with some weapon mod items in the shop where the description did not fit in the box
– fixed an issue with some characters that were not able to shoot firebullets

– increased the chance for events when enabled
– lowered the explosive damage for multiple bullets
– lowered the rubberball damage for multiple bullets
– increased enemy amount in gamemode 2 map 1 “The Dirtlands”

I hope you are all doing well! In the last two weeks I have been focusing on fixing some issues that some of you have encountered during your gameplay. But I have also added a new character to the game that brings some changes to the gameplay and the difficulty of the game when chosen. I have now a plan for a total of 20 characters in the finished version of the game. (They are already in progress) Also there will be two more maps for gamemode 3 and more maps for the other gamemodes as additional dlc content in the future. I have achieved the right balance for gamemode 3 so i will be working on those in the next few weeks. And of course i will still keep fixing those nasty bugs that might appear from time to time. It is still an early access title! For the full changelog read the text below.
There are also some other news besides the update. The game will be featured in the steam autumn and winter sales so if you do not have a copy yet there will be a 50% discount during that time!

– added a white “flash” for enemies to better visualize damage to enemies

Wilbert:
– fixed an issue where the second weapon was glitching through without being unlocked

Character Selcetion:
– fixed an issue with an empty space in the selection that only appeared when going left
– fixed an issue where it was possible to level up characters beyond their max level with a gamepad

Combat:
– fixed an issue where the player was no longer able to stop bleeding after using the tractor

Items:
– fixed an issue with the potato soup where the german translation was still in english

Enemies:
– lowered all enemy health between 5% and 10%

Gamemode2:
– increased the “Beanling” amount in the gamemode again as there were almost none

UI:
– Gamemode 3 wave text changed
